Itinerary Atlas and Sahara Tour - 4 days

Day 1 : Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges.

Departure from the airport, driving over the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi N’Tichka (2260 m a.s.l.). On the way visit of the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and then on to Ouarzazate. We then carry on via the road of Thousand Kasbahs through Skoura where we will stop to see a beautiful Kasbah named Amredhyle. We continue to Kelaat M’gouna, the capital of the roses. In the evening we will arrive to Dades Gorges. Overnight stay at hotel/kasbah at Dades gorges.

Day 2 :Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga.

After breakfast, we will continue on the road through Dades Valley, set off towards Todra Gorges, have lunch at a nice spot and then drive on to Merzouga across Jorf palm grove and the town of Erfoud where we will visit the workshop production of marble fossils.

Arrival at the impressive dunes of Merzouga late in the afternoon, camel ride, crossing the sea of dunes in order to spend the night in the heart of the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay under a nomadic tent.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate.

Early morning wake-up for camel riding and watching the impressive sunrise. Then back to the hotel to freshen up and have breakfast.

Departure towards the Palmerie of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani (the origin of the Alaouite dynasty and the ancient capital of Alaouite Sultans); from there to the village of Alnif, where we will take the road crossing the Jbel Saghro Anti-Atlas chain with the greyish black mountains of different remarkable shapes; cross the main Berber village of Tazarine and N’kob and drive on to the Draa Valley with its rows of palms.

Late afternoon drive to Ouarzazate via the Anti-Atlas mountain through Tizi N’Tniffift 1660 m a.s.l., overnight stay at riad/kasbah in Ouarzazate.

Day 4 : Ouarzazate – Marrakech.

After breakfast visit of Taourirt Kasbah and Film Studios, then departure to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival to Marrakech around 5:00 pm.
